Up2Dance Radio (“the App”) is a free internet radio streaming application. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what information the App collects and how it is used.
Information We Collect
The App does not collect any personal information. Specifically:
- We do not require account registration or login
- We do not collect names, email addresses, or phone numbers
- We do not track your location
- We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking tools
- We do not use cookies
Network Access
The App requires internet access to stream live radio audio and retrieve the currently playing track information (song title and artist) from the radio server.
Anonymous Data Sent to Our Server
To make some features work, the App sends a small amount of anonymous data to our own server. It is identified only by a random ID created when the App is installed, which is not linked to your name, account or any other identity:
- Favorites: when you mark a song as a favorite, the song title and artist are sent to build the community “top tracks” chart (one vote per installation).
- Playback diagnostics: when playback fails or stops unexpectedly, the App sends a short technical log of recent player events (for example: connection attempts and errors, network type such as Wi-Fi or cellular, audio interruptions, app and operating system version). It contains no personal information, contacts, location or content from other apps, and is used only to find and fix playback problems. Diagnostic reports are deleted after 60 days.
We do not store IP addresses with this data, and we never sell or share it with third parties.
Third-Party Services
The App may fetch album artwork from third-party music metadata services to display cover art for the currently playing track. These requests contain only the song title and artist name — no personal or device information is included.
Push Notifications
If you allow notifications, the App uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to receive occasional station announcements. This uses a device token handled by Google and Apple solely to deliver notifications.
Data Storage
The App stores a small amount of data locally on your device (such as your song history, favorites and cached album artwork). This data can be cleared by uninstalling the App.
Children’s Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The App streams publicly available radio content and does not require any personal data to function.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
